    Pratt & Whitney's North Berwick Engineering Center, located in beautiful Southern Maine, is currently seeking a talented and dedicated Engineering Integrated Product Team Leader (IPTL) with the creativity, drive, and desire to see their ideas become a reality. This is a challenging and highly visible leadership position and an excellent opportunity to directly contribute to the successes and ensure our future competitive edge.

    The North Berwick Engineering Center (NBEC) organization is responsible for engineering activities for hardware throughout the gas turbine including the Fan/Low Pressure Compressor, High Pressure Compressor, Combustor, Low Pressure Turbine, High Pressure turbine and Mechanical System modules across all of Pratt & Whitney's military and commercial products. NBEC is located with Pratt & Whitney’s largest manufacturing facility.  This specific opportunity is focused providing support to manufacturing operations, specifically raw material and vendor supplied material.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead an integrated product team of multi-disciplinary engineers to ensure producibility and product flow.
    • Provide detailed task planning and tracking, including earned value management.
    • Work closely with North Berwick raw material suppliers to ensure producible part designs and timely disposition of non-conforming material. 
    • Provide engineering liaison function for hardware that is designed outside of NBEC to North Berwick business units.
    • Lead Green Belt/Black Belt/Red-X Specialties projects to identify production challenges, and identify proposed solutions.
    • Track engineering changes to improve part producibility, reduce cost, or improve hardware throughput.
    • Lead IPT meetings to transfer production learning into new designs.
    • Assist in clearing Work-Stoppages/Escapes.
    • Participate in MRL assessments to ensure production readiness.
    • Drive proposal development, risk mitigation planning, technology development, and associated documentation.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or in a related Engineering field and 10 + years of prior relevant experience in the development of gas turbine components, OR
    • Master’s degree in Engineering, MBA, or in a related field and 7+ years of prior relevant experience in the development of gas turbine components.
    • US Citizenship due to government program requirements.
    • Travel up to 15%.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master’s degree in Engineering or MBA.
    • Experience in Project Management.
    • Project management skills, including resource planning, EVMS, critical path schedule development and risk management.
    • Proven experience leading teams in the successful execution of tasks to meet technical, schedule and budget requirements.
    • Previous experience executing hardware deliveries for rigs or modules.
    • Capability to work and lead in collaboration with other non-collocated teams.
    • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop staff and work across functions, organizations, and all levels of management.
    • Strong analytical skills.
    • Working knowledge of continuous improvement principles.
    • Ability to craft clear communication.
    • Previous supervisor and team leadership experience.
