Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. Regardless of your role type, collaboration and innovation are critical to our business and all employees will have access to digital tools so they can work with colleagues around the world – and access to Collins sites when their work requires in-person meetings.
Primary Responsibilities:
Work with a cross functional team of engineers to mature technologies for aircraft cargo handling systems
Apply engineering skillsets to develop trade studies, system models, component and equipment design, and validation testing and reporting
Assist with engineering projects; prioritizes tasks to ensure that the team’s overall resources are used effectively and that project deadlines are met.
Collect data, perform analysis and reviews for conformance analysis.
Conduct engineering processes using standard work, including verification and qualification procedures.
Classify findings and identify cross-functional internal resources for guidance and direction on findings and complex problems.
Basic Qualifications
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
Must be a US Citizen
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of Mathworks/MATLAB preferred
CAD experience preferred
Electrical or Mechanical Engineering major preferred
Self-starter with strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
