The Collins Aerospace PWES (Pratt and Whitney Engine Systems) F135 Program Management team has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Sustainment Program Manager to manage the development and activation of F135 Collins Component Repair Depots for both domestic and international customers. The F135 Collins Repair Depots support F135 Controls and Accessories outside of traditional Collins owned facilities to provide added repair capability ensuring global supply of Collins F135 Controls and Accessories

The F135 Sustainment Manager oversees the activation activities for new Line Replaceable Units (LRU) components as well as repairs and service limits at F135 Controls and Accessories (C&A) Depots.  Sustainment activities include the development of depot activation plans with collaboration with internal business units and external stakeholders. The Manager collaborates with Aftermarket and Ground Support Equipment in support of sustainment and depot activation activities, as well as customer needs. They stay current on engineering activities related to F135 Controls and Accessories designs and processes to assess the impact those changes have to Depot operations and drive the implementation and activation of those changes at Depots as required. The Manager’s primary responsibilities ensure customer expectations and supportability goals related to the Collins C&A Depot are met.

The F135 Sustainment Program Manager will be an individual contributor Hybrid to Windsor Locks, CT or Oklahoma City, OK.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute Sustainment and Depot Activation Plans

  • Manage repair and new component sustainment and depot activation plans to closure

  • Collaborate with a variety of internal stakeholders to ensure Depot capability meets customer needs

  • Assess changes to the F135 Controls and Accessories designs and processes for impact to Depot

  • Identify and evaluate future LRU (Line Replaceable Units) candidates for sustainment and depot activation with the intent to maintain and improve customer supportability goals

  • Manage several F135 Engine Program Cost Accounts as a CAM (Cost Account Manager)

  • Support Latest Estimate (LE) /Sales Plans

  • Develop realistic sales commitments based on program schedule and milestones and/or plan

  • Monitor and manage resources to ensure compliance to committed sales plan

  • Identify Risk and Opportunities to the sales plan

Qualifications/Experience Needed:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience

  • https://U.S. Person (https://U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Earned Value Management (EVMS) experience.

  • Demonstrated experience managing and prioritizing multiple projects with competing priorities.

  • Customer facing experience

  • Experience presenting to Leadership and Customers
