We are looking for a new Mechanical Engineer to join our Facilities team! In this role, the identified candidate will gather data, develop new or modified plans, and participate in other varied facilities tasks. The candidate may be responsible for modifications to procedures to enhance Facilities team performance. Further, they will plan, design, and reconfigure equipment, machinery, buildings, and structures to ensure the optimal utilization of the organization's facilities, as well as manage the facilities contractor management process.

Primary Responsibilities

• Gathers data concerning facility or equipment specifications and organization or government restrictions to ensure consistency in the documentation of the relevant records.

• Develops new or modified plans in response to delays, bad weather, or site emergencies.

• Inspects projects to evaluate compliance with building and safety codes, or other regulations.

• Monitors building security and safety to ensure a safe workplace.

• Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs

• Participates in prebuilding assessments, such as conceptual cost estimating, rough order of magnitude estimating, feasibility, or energy efficiency, environmental, and sustainability assessments.

• Participates in planning and scheduling facilities maintenance and repair activities to ensure proper functioning of facilities.

• Assesses and evaluates the physical space requirements of the organization and recommends plans to meet needs.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)

• Must be a U.S. Citizen

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite.  Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
