    Facilities Space Planner

    Job Description

    GBS has an opening for a Facilities Space Planner working within RIS West Region.

    Collaborate on Projects and provide planning support in the North & South Campus and occasionally other sites in California.  Responsibilities will also include employee relocations, construction, demo or installation of cabling infrastructure, new hire placement and employee separations. Additional responsibilities to include data collection/analysis for comprehensive facilities master space planning and maintenance of Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM) database to include field verification, data entry/modifications and continuous monitoring for accuracy. Work to support an IPTL environment.  Will establish furniture and finish standards.  Actively work towards Raytheon Technologies Office of the Future.

     

    Required Skills:

    • Facilities Space Planning with broad knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Project and CAFM (preferably Archibus) with an emphasis on layouts, space planning, analysis and reporting.
    • Will coordinate with architectural and engineering to develop design criteria
    • Must have the ability to work with internal A&E and external A&E teams
    • Must demonstrate experience with large multi-site and campus type facilities
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and have IT knowledge.
    • Must have experience documenting as-built conditions and knowledge of facilities planning and interior design principles.
    • Must have the ability to multitask and thrive in a high volume, customer-focused work environment where attention to detail and compressed turn-around times are necessary.
    • Must have interior design or architectural firm experience.
    • AutoCAD Architectural 2018 experience
    • Experience in managing multiple projects and working in a matrix environment
    • Archibus CAFM software experience (preferred but not required)
    • Office and lab space planning skills-Site field verification, Creating AutoCAD Space Plans and Design Development Plans, including Architectural, Door Schedules, Reflected Ceiling, Power & Data and Furniture Plans
    • Ability to work well in a fast-paced office environment
    • Demonstrate capability to participate, lead, influence and succeed in a team environment. Must be able to communicate clearly, remain calm under pressure, and work overtime as required. 
    • U.S. Citizenship required for purposes of obtaining security clearance.

    Minimum Education Required:

    • This position typically requires a BS degree in related field and 5 years relevant experience OR an advanced degree and 3 years experience.  In limited circumstances, in the absence of a degree a combination of education, applicable experience and certifications in lieu of degree may be considered.

    US Citizenship:

    • This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship
    • This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance.  Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
