    Position summary

    Operations Center (IOC) responsible for both product delivery and providing machine maintenance support services across Sensor operations. Mission Components is comprised of four value streams; Precision Metal Fabrication (PMF), Cables, Electrical Component Operations ECOps), and Tool Room / Machine Tool Maintenance (MTM). In this role you will be responsible for leadership and talent development opportunities to an organization of >200 employees across multiple functions including Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance and Supply Chain while maintaining a safe work environment for all MC employees and instilling a culture of continuous improvement.

    The Factory Operations Manager will provide cross-functional leadership of the multi-disciplined MC teams to include the coordination of manufacturing resources and strategy required to support ongoing operations for cost, quality and schedule, ensuring operational excellence across the various manufacturing processes from planning through production, and customer support. This role is expected to champion Enterprise Collaboration by bringing best in class solutions that deliver innovative manufacturing and advanced capabilities that create sustained growth while driving affordability.

    This position is in a fast paced, customer / program driven environment and is a key enabler leading strategic growth with regular interactions with senior leaders across Raytheon Operations and other functions as a member of the Raytheon Operations extended leadership team working cohesively with the other directorates within Operations and Supply Chain.

    The ideal candidate will possess the demonstrated skills and experience necessary to perform in technical, program, and manufacturing leadership roles. The ideal candidate must be capable of working beyond the typical 40-hour work week.

    Responsibilities to Anticipate:

    • You will be a people leader and manager, encouraging and in support of performance management activities, goal setting, career counseling, compensation planning, and employee training and /or talent development while managing employees and employee relations issues within varying levels of the Organization.

    • collaborating and building strong cross-functional teams gained from leadership experience in operations, manufacturing, program management or similar for a complex product domain, high-technology or large corporate environment.

    • Travel domestically will be on a periodically basis.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Typically require a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced degree and a minimum of 10 years of related experience.

    • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Prior experience leading in a DoD manufacturing environment with a collective bargaining workforce.

    • Experience utilizing SAP, Shop floor data systems and other business systems.

    • Experience with Six-Sigma / CORE and lean manufacturing processes

    • Excellent organizational, customer service, communication, presentation, and team building skills, and the ability to present to senior leadership.

    • Ability to execute against tight deadlines.

    • Understanding of Raytheon product structures and product technical details.

    • Proven track record of positive financial performance / cost reduction

    • A great team builder with the ability to communicate clear expectations and influence teams across a wide cross-section of disciplines.

    The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD - 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

    This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
