This position is a hybrid role, and the selected applicant will work with the hiring manager to set schedule.

What will you do

The following position is to join our BBN IX team In support of chiefly DoD and Intelligence Community missions, BBN’s Information Exploitation (IX) group specializes in the development and deployment of cutting-edge third-wave AI solutions to enable the advanced machine reasoning needed for the fully autonomous trusted systems of tomorrow.

• Within IX, we combine structured semantics with probabilistic formalisms to enable explainable decision making, sense-making and course of action analysis in real-time.
• You will support IX in developing mission-critical applications for deployment into global enterprise operations, optimizing software for knowledge representation, storage, and query systems for high performance, and designing novel machine reasoning and learning algorithms and solutions to complex, open-ended intelligence problems.   
• You will be work side by side with leading scientists, engineers, and program managers of all levels to utilize semantic graph technology to build modern, Python and Java-based software that leverages AI to enable Strategic Decision making and Semantic Autonomy applications.

Required Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience

• Proficiency developing full stack software applications written in Java, Python, C++, or Javascript

• Experience using DevSecOps methodologies with modern CI/CD tools, such as Jira, Bitbucket/GitLab, Nexus/Artifactory, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes

• Ability to work in a team environment with scientists and engineers at multiple seniority levels to derive and explain solutions to complex problems

• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills

• Current DoD or IC Top Secret security clearance. US citizenship is required

• Occasional overnight travel is required

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree and additional experience is desired

• Experience working applied research and rapid prototype programs

• Interest in machine reasoning, semantic graph technologies, data analytics, or artificial intelligence technologies

• Previous work with DoD/IC customers, especially improving development, build, testing, and deployment activities across unclassified/classified networks

• Current and Active TS/SCI Clearance
