Summary of Responsibilities: 

A team member at this level is expected to be responsible for meeting the production schedule with Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) support. This role requires the team member to work from drawings, models, charts or specifications, use measurement instruments to check and verify own work and work of others. This position requires a mechanical and technical aptitude and an ability to follow work instructions. Comply with all environmental, health, and safety requirement.

Essential Functions:

• Engine disassembly/assembly - Perform mechanic duties to disassemble and assemble engines, engine modules and accessories.
• Clean - Perform cleaning of engine parts and components.
• Perform visual checks to assess minimal part condition for continued use where applicable.  Understand the basic inspection techniques as a part of a career development path.
• Demonstrate commitment to the EH&S and continuous improvement programs by complying with all policies and procedures, completing all required training, and supporting all applicable committee activities.
• Ability to manage tools and tooling to ensure serviceability before and after use and process appropriately when issues arise.

Knowledge, Skills and Required Abilities (Experience/Qualifications)

• A&P License (preferred)
• A strong manufacturing background and shop operations experience, and a desire to work with quality, engineering, and operations on the shop floor (preferred)
• Knowledge of inspection methods, process controls, understanding of Lean or Six Sigma tools is preferred.
• A knowledge in Blueprint interpretation, Geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T), Experience in an Aerospace manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Must have completed CORE Basics and have created a CORE profile (internal candidates). 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• FAA Safety Sensitive Position
• Must be willing to work all shifts.
• SAP familiarity (Preferred)

Education/Certification

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum of 1yr Coordinate Measuring Machine experience or technical certificate.
• U.S. Citizenship required due to government contracts
