    Position Overview:

    The Global Trade (GT) Intern will work with various GT team members on domestic and international GT matters and projects. The Intern will be expected to support and participate in a team environment that is dedicated to compliance and continuous improvement of the GT program. The Intern must have excellent communication skills, project management, and strong analytical capabilities.

    Employees who are working in remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.  Regardless of your role type, collaboration and innovation are critical to our business and all employees will have access to digital tools so they can work with colleagues around the world – and access to Collins sites when their work requires in-person meetings.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    The Intern may be responsible to support, manage and lead the following areas throughout the assignment:

    • Work under/within the following U.S. Regulations: Export Administration Regulation (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR),and Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS)

    • Support GT internal audit and assessment processes

    • Provide data analytics support and assist with data analytic tools/process improvements

    • Perform Jurisdiction/Classification (JC) and HTS classification analysis and validation

    • Support investigations and reviews of possible GT escapes

    • Support root cause determination of escapes and implementation of corrective actions

    • Analyze business needs with respect to export authorization requirements

    • Support development and delivery of formal and informal GT training

    • Engage with relevant functional groups to help drive GT compliance across the business

    • Other general GT responsibilities as required

    Basic Qualifications

    • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

    • Must be a US Person/Permanent Resident "green card" holder
