Supplier Quality Engineers (SQE) are integral to the continued success of the mod center as the leaders of problem resolution teams related to part manufacture in the supply chain, liaisons between the mod center, program office and internal customer when discussing quality concerns.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand and execute key aspects of overseeing and assuring supplier activities to achieve best-in-class supplier quality, delivery and service while acting as the primary Quality Engineering focal for hot section suppliers
• Support the shop floor in addressing issues by collaborating with the shop quality engineering team
• Create and maintain key relationships across multiple disciplines with both the supplier and PW to resolve production challenges in a high paced environment
• Drive the use of 8D problem solving methodology to ensure effective corrective actions             
• Team with engineering and procurement to execute proactive supply base improvement plans that improve Quality signature and to ensure customer confidence

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or related technical field 
• US citizenship required due to government contracts

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Working knowledge/ proficiency in Quality tools such as 8D, RCCA, PFMEA, GD&T
• Practical ACE/Six Sigma experience or other Lean Systems experience a plus
• ASQ (CQE, CQM) certifications a plus
• Ability to meet commitments, balance and resolve conflicting priorities
• High energy, dynamic individual who strives for continuous improvement
• Results focused work ethic to resolve issues in a timely manner
   

What is my role type?

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. This means that responsibilities of the job need to be performed onsite on a regular basis. 

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
