Raytheon is seeking a highly motivated HVAC Technician to join a mature program. The qualified HVAC Technician will support a very dynamic program in a world-class operations facility and must have a broad range of experience supporting fast paced, quick reaction program requirements. 

Clearance Requirement: Current TS/SCI with CI poly and willing to successfully upgrade

Candidate’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Responsible for facility mechanical systems (chiller plant, FCUs, air handlers, in-row coolers, VRF).

Maintain all as-built designs, ensuring all changes at site are recorded and documented properly.

Participate in future site design modifications and upgrades.

Analyze data from the site’s monitoring system to support design efforts to expansion capabilities or improve efficiencies.

Work at site with the O&M team as the HVAC Technician to oversee any mechanical system maintenance or modifications.

Required Skills

5+ years relevant hands-on experience

Experience in chilled water systems (CWS) to include chiller plant, pumps, valves, air handling units, fan coil units, and the associated infrastructure.

Single-handedly lift and carry 45-pound systems and be capable of prolonged use of site equipment (https://e.g., hand tools, power tools, disintegrators, and degaussers).

Good communication skills and an ability to work closely with other professionals.

Desired Skills

Familiar with building management systems; operating, monitoring and programming (modifying the program). 

Crossed trained in other trades (Electrical, plumbing, structural, etc)

Required Education (including Major):

Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.

Technical School graduate and a minimum Journeyman HVAC Technician license.

Requires advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project

management. Practical to substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.

Engineering/Other Technical Positions:

Typically requires a degree in Science,Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
