The Operations team continues to grow and aims to strengthen the connection of Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain and Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) across Collins Aerospace. In this dynamic environment, you will have the opportunity to network across our businesses and functions, all while improving the productivity, quality and efficiency of our operations worldwide.  

    This is a seven month co-op beginning May/June 2023 - December 2023. The work is fully remote.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Assisting the Central EH&S Industrial Hygiene (IH) and Global Chemical Substances (GCS) team with tracking implementation of IH and GCS initiatives and projects across the organization

    • Assist the Central EH&S team with updating and reviewing all Collins EH&S instructions and training materials

    • Data entry and validation in EH&S Sustainability Management and Reporting Toolkit (EHS Smart) as required

    • Gathering data on open items from Collins sites on Safety, Health, and Risk Reduction metrics or projects

     
    Candidates with an interest in Safety, Health, IH, and Risk Reduction regulations and / or legal background are encouraged to apply.  

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree. Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health and Safety, Environmental Sciences, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Hygiene, Environmental Health disciplines preferred.

    • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Ability to work independently after assigned a task

    • Ability to manage time to complete tasks assigned

    • Attention to detail - this job requires writing programs, instructions and compliance with all EH&S regulatory and RTX EH&S requirements

    • Communication skills - ability to speak with all levels of an organization both verbally and written

    • Computer skills required - Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
