The Industrial Lead position is a role that combines technical acumen, project management and customer focus all in one.  This position will provide a rare opportunity to have regular contact with every organization across Pratt & Whitney, our partners and supply chain. You will support Cold Section and the Component Integration Product Team (CIPT) delivery, quality, and cost goals, including focused efforts on understanding design changes, manufacturing learning and strategic sourcing initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer relations, project management, technical and system performance analysis. The role requires a self-motivated professional that consistently brings a high level of commitment to projects, that can multi-task in fast paced, high pressure situations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead industrial planning - structure, framework and timing on sourcing and manufacturing decisions.
  • Identify, document, and assess Operation’s risks, develop mitigation actions on behalf of the CIPT and report to IPMT
  • Track and measure part level delivery performance of critical components and lead initiatives to meet industrial requirements including delivery, quality & inventory.  Own/maintain Lines of Balance (LOBs) for critical parts to support Heat Map Process
  • Coordinate with GSC, & BU for initial MRP Load and part level MRP changes to ensure balanced consideration of Engineering Changes, Source Transitions, and other activities with potential impact to delivery, quality, inventory, & cost
  • Work with GSC, & BU to maintain long term supply chain capacity posture to support program needs
  • Prioritize and manage production readiness assessments.
  • Develop, track and close action items to increase capacity and capability at suppliers.
  • Lead single points of failure and material changes that will impact sourcing decisions.
  • Ensure transition plans are properly supported to ensure incumbents can deliver until new sources are delivering parts at production ramp rates.
  • Identify risks to supplier production ramp, continuing fleet sustainment, build mitigation plans, and drive actions to closure.
  • Identify, quantify, and elevate risk to commitments based on hardware requirements, production schedule, etc.
  • Align Program milestones with Operation capability.
  • Strives for continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Ability to multi-task in fast paced, high pressure situations
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5+ years Manufacturing Shop experience
  • This position is currently Hybrid
  • Travel approximately 10%, depending on projects and COVID
  • US Citizenship required due to government contracts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Aerospace engineering or other similar engineering degree with minimum of 5+ years of relevant work experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field with a minimum 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Manufacturing, Engineering, Project, or Program management experience preferred
  • Outstanding project management skills.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Detail and results oriented with good problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to meet commitments, balance and resolve conflicting priorities.
  • Understand strategic and business implications and works to provide the best solutions.
  • Proven experience working with executive level management.
  • High energy, dynamic individual who strives for continuous improvement.
  • Extensive proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of applications and SAP.
