Summary

The Geared Turbofan (GTF) Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) Operations team is chartered to expand the global capability and capacity for engine overhaul and component repair. Accelerating network engine overhaul facility readiness is critical to the growth of the GTF engine program.

We are looking to expand the core team of Engineering Industrialization Project Managers. The team is responsible for optimizing the network engine overhaul & repair supplier's technical capability and capacity to support our engine overhaul commitments.

The position will work closely with a variety of organizations and support the GTF MRO Operations team with these key activities:

  • Lead the expansion of global engine center (DAT) partners capability of the HPC and HPT module machined-in-case (MIC) processes
  • PW focal point to ensure MIC production readiness, capability, and capacity across all GTF engine programs
  • Provide technical support and guidance to network repair suppliers for repair development and source qualification on various products and processes
  • Collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines, and internal organizations to support DAT development for HPT and HPC MIC
  • Develop, coordinate, and execute multiple technical and production readiness plans simultaneously
  • Transition technology and leverage best practices and methods across MRO facilities as applicable
  • Establish and document applicable standard work, gated processes, and metrics

Basic Qualifications

  • BS degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or other relevant engineering discipline and a minimum of 5+ years of experience in product or process engineering within an MRO or OEM manufacturing facility; OR have an Advanced degree with 3+ years of relevant experience
  • 2+ years of experience with project management or PMP Certification
  • US Citizenship required due to government contracts
  • Must have or be willing to obtain a valid US Passport; travel will be required domestically and/or internationally up to 10%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Process or manufacturing experience, hands-on assembly/disassembly experience on gas-turbine engines, operational experience, and/or production management in an MRO facility
  • Proficient with engineering drawing and model software: UGX and AutoCAD
  • Experience in managing qualification and validation (Source Demonstration) processes
  • Willing to support international and domestic MRO partners and repair suppliers
  • Strong leadership skills, analytical thinking, and customer focus
  • Firm understanding of engineering documents, mechanical blueprints, and technical data
  • Strong problem-solving skills for operation and engineering related issues
  • Highly motivated, high-energy self-starter with a strong desire to succeed
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).
