As an Information Security System's Officer (ISSM) for our Burnsville, MN facility, you will encompass hands-on execution and oversight of program and security compliance directives. This individual must have an aptitude towards and be able to execute the following information system directives:
Primary Responsibilities:
In concert with the Facility Security Officer (FSO) and Information System Security Officer (ISSO), maintain the IS Security Program.
Prepare, manage and enforce Information Assurance (IA) requirements, System Security Plans, and required artifacts
Provide security oversight for MUSA, LANs and WANs to include performing assessment and authorization requirements under Risk Management Framework.
Development of moderate scope/complexity network architectures.
Develop security education training program.
Manage and mentor Information System Security Officers (ISSO).
Performs and tracks IS self-inspections, reports, system tests and responses.
Perform data integrity containments and investigations on IA related security violations / incidents and report in accordance with Government Security Compliance direction, corporate policy and procedures, and U.S. government compliance requirements.
Coordinate responses to security incidents coordinating with the FSO.
Conduct security education training for system users and peers on appropriate risk mitigation strategies and security practices on an initial and annual basis.
·Lead internal/external agency and customer compliance audits.
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience OR In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must have a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements.
A working knowledge of the NISPOM and DAAPM
Current CompTIA Security+ Certification
Must be able to obtain RMF Training as specified in the Defense Security Service Assessment and Authorization Process Manual
Preferred Qualifications:
Must have a BS Degree in a related field such as Business, Management, Information Systems, etc. or 5+ years of related experience.
Ability to obtain Security Clearance + Certification and/or CISSP Certification.
2-5 years of performing ISSM and/or ISSO related tasks
Previous or current Defense Contractor or equivalent Military Systems Admin experience and familiarity with NISPOM, NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, and DISA STIGs
Ability to work independently
Strong analytical skills coupled with the ability to develop strategy
Innovative thinker, results oriented, change agent
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
