The Infrastructure Hardware Engineer will design and support deployment of a heterogeneous mix of computing hardware platforms including servers, workstations and numerous COTS and custom applications. This candidate will be part of a team of senior engineering members to develop and maintain infrastructure designs (OS, Networks, Storage, and related systems) for upcoming program development efforts. This candidate will need to have familiarity with the decomposition of requirements, experience with Infrastructure design, development and procurement, experience interfacing with vendors to develop solutions, researching HW and SW solutions, support the creation of hardware drawings and Bills of Materials as appropriate.
Duties can include, but are not limited to:
Experience with the architecture and design of COTS Infrastructure from requirements
Understands architecture and can interpret and convert it into detailed designs and related documentation - engineering diagrams etc.
Experience with HW lifecycle including maintenance, repair, replacement.
Understands the COTS Stack and related hardware development Lifecycle.
Experience with installation of various COTS products on a system experience with hands on integration of various hardware products.
Ability to document, hardware, and service solutions to meet customer objectives.
Understands Network topologies related to the design.
NOTE: This position is required to be on site, however some Hybrid support may be performed. The ideal candidate must be Local and able and willing to drive into the Raytheon location in Aurora CO to support design test and selloff. Additionally, support for the project may require travel (<10%) to support at the customer facilities in Boulder Colorado, Buckley AFB (Aurora CO), or Schriever AFB (CO Springs).
Clearance Requirement:
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Required Skills:
5 years of professional experience with computer systems hardware and/or software design
Demonstrated ability to work in a process driven environment.
Ability to analyze and troubleshoot system issues and provide user support.
Track system configurations
Track COTS/FOSS usage
Coordinate with remote site personnel for hardware equipment maintenance / useage.
Work with external entities to configure and troubleshoot interface issues.
Follow established SE processes and procedures.
Independently research and learn emergent techniques and tools for future roadmap development.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Adobe
Desired Skills:
System administration experience in a Red Hat Linux environment
Knowledge with VMware and related tool sets
Experience with Windows and/or Linux Systems
Experience in day-to-day maintenance and management of computer systems in an operations environment.
Experience with hardware systems design and implementation
An active and in-scope Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. security clearance
Experience with obsolescence processes
Required Education (including Major):
Typically Requires a BS/BA in STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math) in Computer Systems Technology, Systems Engineering, Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, and 5 years related experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

The salary range for this role is 75,000 USD - 161,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
