    Position summary

    and repairing malfunctioning control equipment. You'll also set up and calibrate new equipment with meticulous attention to detail.

    • Collaborative Support: Work closely with project engineers and technicians to troubleshoot equipment and support startup activities, ensuring seamless project execution.

    • Audit and Documentation: Contribute to audits, investigations, and corrective actions. You'll also identify, update, and route Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) for document and procedure updates.

    • Procurement and Vendor Management: Create purchase requisitions, handle invoice processing, and manage contractors and vendors to maintain smooth operations.

    • Facility-Wide Oversight: Support instrumentation and controls across the facility by maintaining calibration records, assisting in the review of as-built systems, and ensuring compliance with mechanical and electrical specifications.

    • Standards and Improvement: Ensure all control system tags meet facility standards and drive the continuous improvement of Preventative Maintenance activities. Your ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and P&IDs will be crucial.

    • Training and Development: Coach and train less-experienced technicians, sharing your expertise to enhance team capabilities.

    • DCS Expertise: Manage continuous control and graphic configuration changes for Delta V systems. Specify and troubleshoot control systems and components and utilize diagnostic tools to monitor system health. You'll also lead hardware upgrades and support software updates for the Delta V system.

    Qualifications You Must Have

    • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience

    • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62

    • 4 years of direct experience with instrumentation calibration, controls, automation and facilities maintenance.

    • Minimum 1 year of Distributed Control Systems experience

    Qualifications We Prefer

    • Educational Background: An AAS degree in Electronics or equivalent certification (ISA CSST preferred) is essential for this role.

    • Delta V experience

    • VFD Configuration and Troubleshooting: Hands-on experience with the configuration, commissioning, and troubleshooting of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) from brands like Allen Bradley, ABB, and Yaskawa.

    • Advanced Tool Proficiency: Skilled in using Hart communicators (Emerson AMS Trex, Hart 475) and Process Calibrators (Beamex, Fluke) for precise instrument calibration.

    • Gas Chromatograph Service: Experience servicing Rosemount (Daniel) Gas Chromatographs to ensure accurate gas analysis.

    • Pyrometer Calibration: Proficient in calibrating pyrometers from brands like Fluke Endurance, Ametek Land, and Minolta Cyclops.

    • Blackbody Operation: Experience operating blackbody calibrators such as Omega BB-4A and Advance Energy M390 for precise temperature calibration.

    • VIP Power Supply Expertise: Knowledgeable in induction VIP power supply troubleshooting, maintenance, and safety operations.

    • Instrumentation Calibration: Experience in instrument and transmitter calibration, with a commitment to using and maintaining calibration management software like Emerson AMS or ProCal CMS.

    • Work Schedule: In this position; we would prefer an individual who is willing & able to work a rotatschedule of 12-hour rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, day/night shift and overtime as required: Rotating shifts are 4-day on / 4-day off, (2-day/2-night/4-day off) 12-hour shift: AM Hours: 4:45AM - 5:15PM PST. PM Hours 4:45PM - 5:15AM PST.

    The salary range for this role is 48,000 USD - 112,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
