Raytheon has an immediate opening for an Integrated Product Team Lead onsite in Goleta, CA. The selected candidate will provide technical leadership to multi-disciplinary program teams.   • Manage engineers and technical specialists who are involved in the development of requirements, architecture, design, analysis, detailed trade studies, simulation and test of EW systems.

  • Coordinate with the Chief Engineer to prepare and develop staffing and loading across the period of performance.

  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary program teams to develop and design prototype systems.

  • Lead design performance and cost trade-offs.

  • Organize and lead team meetings, internal design reviews, gate reviews, as well as formal program and customer reviews.

  • Report weekly Earned Value (EV) metrics along with variances.

  • Prepare and present Program Performance Reviews (PPRs), Variance Analysis Reviews (VARs), Estimate At Completion (EACs), and other reports for periodic meetings.

  • Evaluate performance of the program/project and take necessary actions to keep the program/project within cost & schedule while identifying and mitigating program risks as well as opportunities.

  • Pursue IRAD projects, lead proposal activities, provide cost estimate and prepare Basis Of Estimates (BOEs) based on prior programs.

Required Skills:

  • Typically, a minimum of 10 years related system engineering experience on EW or Radar programs including prior technical leadership experience.

  • Minimum of 8 years of system development for defense applications.

  • Requires a demonstrative and working knowledge of EVMS.

  • Excellent verbal communication skills with ability to present data and explain results to senior level executives and customers.

  • Experience (preferably hands-on) in the design, development, analysis, simulation/modeling techniques, and testing of EW systems.

  • Experience in lab equipment including: Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, and Power Meters.

  • Must Have Active (or active within past 24 months) DoD Secret Clearance.

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain SAP (Special Access Programs). This SAP must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

  • https://U.S. Person is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.

  • This position requires either a https://U.S. Person or a https://Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.

Desired Skills:

  • EVMS Certification

  • Experience with new business development for prototype system programs

  • Experience with proposal execution from competitive analysis to capture strategy to proposal delivery.

  • Experience writing requirements for EW/Radar systems

  • Experience with requirements tracking tools such as DOORS

  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance


Typically, a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline.

Desired Education (including major):

Master’s / https://Ph.D. degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline.

The salary range for this role is 112,000 USD - 236,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
