Iron Dome - Field Engineer

Job Description: 

Raytheon, Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) in White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) has an exciting opportunity for a Field Engineer II to support the RFSE group.  The selected candidate will serve as a Systems Technician for the Iron Dome team with general guidance from Site Lead and Maintenance Chief will be responsible for providing all aspects of the Iron Dome system and operational maintenance. The Field Engineer II will trouble shoot and identify system problems then recommend solutions.  The Maintenance Chief will direct best course of repair execution.  The Field Engineer II will also ensure proper use of Iron Dome system assets.  The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
 

Required Skills/Experience:
 

Qualifications of the Field Engineer II shall include, but are not limited to the following:

• Execute all maintenance tasks on the Iron Dome system.
• Act as technical Subject Mater Expert in absence of Maintenance Chief.
• Experience in Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS).
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English; individual is required to communicate both orally and written to enable the satisfactory performance of his required technical tasks as described above.
• This position will initially be stationed at White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) NM, and will likely be  relocating to be stationed Joint Base Lewis McCord (JBLM) WA within 12 months.
• This position will require periods of travel CONUS and OCONUS. 
• Must have current active Secret security clearance

Desired Skills/Experience:
 

• Air Defense Non-Commissioned Officer or enlisted with background in PATRIOT, LPWS, CRAM or Iron Dome systems.
• At least 3 years of experience performing mechanical and systems level maintenance tasks.

Required Education (including Major): 

Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
