IT Systems Hardware Technician (Onsite)

• Install, configure, upgrade, and de-install IT Systems hardware

• Coordinate with system integrators, maintainers, and end users to ensure timely completion of tasks

Required Skills:

• UNIX and Windows Hardware support:

• Screens, refers and diagnoses internal inquiries and work requests as they relate to maintenance of personal computers and related systems

• IT Systems and peripheral hardware installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting support experience

• Provides end-user software troubleshooting and support

• Coordinates development of deliverables and products

• Participates in the administration of e-mail systems

• Coordinates development of deliverables and products

• Must be able to track project studies, plans, and action items

• Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned

• Participates in special projects as required

• Ability and willingness to work in confined spaces, under floor, and above ceiling as required

• Team player that is willing to provide support to a variety of tasks and to support high priority customer activities

• Excellent communication and customer interaction skills

Desired Qualifications:

• 1+ years of directly related experience supporting information systems operations

• Understanding of remote VoIP administration

• Experience with conferencing system configuration and installation

• Familiarity with telephone testing and installation equipment

• Experience working in a customer environment

• Experience fabricating and installing CAT5/CAT6, copper, and fiber optic cables

• Active DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (or higher). IAT Level 2 requires one or more of the following Professional Certifications: Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CySA+, CND

Education and Experience Requirements:

Typically requires a bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience; or 9 years of relevant experience; or related *Military technical certification credits and relevant experience (*military personnel who have been formally trained or have relevant experience obtained while in service versus civilian training).

The salary range for this role is 75,000 USD - 161,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
