Position summary

Raytheon is seeking a System Administrator with Linux and Windows administration background to join our team in developing and maintaining systems in a classified environment.

The System Administrator is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and implementing solutions to optimize the infrastructure operations. Analyzes and identifies all or part of a company's existing or new computer (and/or server), peripheral, network, and telecommunications systems requirements, taking into consideration the special technology needs. Designs, implements, codes, tests, documents, and maintains systems integration solutions to total system or subsystems. Establishes functional and technical specifications, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem.

This position requires US Citizenship with a current TS/SCI with CI Poly Government Security Clearance.

Required Skills:

Must be a US Citizen with a current TS/SCI clearance with CI poly

2+ years of experience directly related to System Administration, including installation and maintenance of software and hardware

Experience administering Red Hat Linux based systems to include patching, user management, and security

client/server applications

Must be able to lift 35 pounds in support of hardware installations

Must be able to support occasional after hours maintenance

Required to provide pager (on-call) support

Must have an active DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (or higher) on start date. IAT Level 2 requires one or more of the following Professional Certifications: Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CySA+, CND

Desired Skills:

Experience administering Windows Server 2012/2019

Certifications or experience with cloud infrastructures such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, etc.

Strong hardware/software troubleshooting skills

Experience with scripting, particularly in shell scripting in sh and csh variants, Python, PowerShell, and PERL

Experience with automation frameworks (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform, etc.)

Familiar with version control systems such as git

Strong analytic and research skills - must be detail oriented

Required Education:

Typically, Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, and 2 years relevant experience OR 10 years of experience in lieu of degree.

Requires theoretical to advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through University Degree combined with experience. Practical knowledge of RTX projects, programs

or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.

Engineering/Other Technical Positions:Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics(STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior

relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is   $55,500 - $114,500; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.​
