oversee Sentinel Radar System operation and maintenance activities in CENTCOM. The LCCS FSR is considered the technical expert on Sentinel and must be able to answer all technical questions regarding the operation and maintenance of the system.
This is an unaccompanied assignment with the FSR staying at a primary support location within CENTCOM. The FSR will work from one primary location with US Army units (as required / deployed) operating up to ten (10) Sentinel radars and will travel to other remote US Army sites in addition to their primary location for regular Sentinel maintenance activities or as requested.
The FSR will also support and track stock of a spares warehouse, planned to be collocated at their primary support location.
This position is contingent on the candidate's ability to meet all deployment needs at all times to include passing a physical if required for that region as well as deployment through CONUS Replacement Center (CRC) at Ft. Bliss, TX.
Fullerton, CA WILL NOT be the permanent home location, only the initial on-boarding will take place in Fullerton. The FSR will be based out of a primary location in CENTCOM.
What You Will Do:
The LCCS FSR oversees all the installation, test, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities for Sentinel Radar Systems at their assigned location(s).
The LCCS FSR will provide guidance to assigned US Army Sentinel Radar System Maintainer MOS94M and Raytheon Sentinel teams, as necessary, to complete intermediate and depot level maintenance, fault isolation, alignment, calibration and repair verification that is beyond their authorized capability.
If required the FSR will assist supported unit(s) with march order and emplacement tasks on location.
Travel to various customer sites within CENTCOM and AFRICOM will be required.
Qualifications You Must Have:
A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or a Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience. May substitute experience for education.
Active Secret Clearance.
Ability to maintain DOD Secret Clearance.
A minimum of 5 years experience in the repair of US Army S band and/or X band artillery search and acquisition radar systems (Firefinder and Sentinel) or US Air Force Air Traffic Control and Tactical Weather Radar systems.
In-depth understanding of radar systems operations is a must.
Willing to complete a minimum twelve (12) month assignment from the date of arrival at LCCS OCONUS location.
Mandatory Physical Requirements for Deployment through CRC:
Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs.
Able to work outdoors in extreme climate conditions.
Able to work extended work days (if needed) and be on-call 24/7.
Able to meet required overseas medical requirements to deploy via CRC to CENTCOM to include required vaccines and hearing / vision tests.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of Military protocol.
US Military technical training and certification as a 94M Sentinel Maintainer.
Military experience is highly desirable, graduate of US Military radar technical school.
Past experience in a combat environment is a plus.
Leadership experience and working with a team to advise and assist in effecting preventative maintenance programs and equipment record keeping.
Requires advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project
management. Practical to substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.

The salary range for this role is 85,000 USD - 179,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
