We have an immediate leadership opportunity for a LEAD E/O Engineer to oversee the EODAS Product Line Transition to Production. You will work closely with the Production Chief Engineer, Program Chief Engineer, and associated engineering teams at our new state-of-the-art facility in McKinney, Texas.

The Lead E/O Production Transition Engineer will define and establish the EODAS production transition plan; develop requirements; coordinate resources and schedules; be responsible for engineering compliance with production testing and processes; and ensure technical integrity and engineering execution. You will also manage budget and costs; work closely with multiple engineering disciplines; oversee sub-contractors; and will regularly interface with Customers and RIS Engineering Leadership. This is a high visibility role across the RIS Business unit. As Lead Transition Engineer, you will have the authority and responsibility to manage all engineering IPTs across the program; ensure effective use of independent reviews to achieve on-time completion of Program reviews; and ensure that the Risk & Opportunity Board and Configuration Boards support the program activities.

Required Skills:
-Minimum of 10 years of mixed Engineering experience to include related airborne and EO sensing systems design, use-case development and operational analysis, integration and test, system qualification.
-Prior experience transitioning similar sensing systems from Engineering to Production, such as: factory/production experience with Multi-Spectral Targeting System (MTS), High Energy Lasers, or ATFLIR family of products, or other EO/IR systems of similar complexity.
-Prior engineering leadership experience working with a diverse technical team - including sub-contractors and suppliers – involving frequent engagement with other engineering disciplines, program leadership, and senior customers.
- Requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. An Active DoD Secret is preferred.
Desired Skills:
-Demonstrated prior success as Technical Lead on major proposals, and ability to lead across a highly multi-disciplinary role requiring experience across all design engineering disciplines, technical supplier management, business development, and program leadership.
-Active DoD Secret clearance.
Required Education:
Typically requires a B.S. Degree in a related STEM discipline such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Math or Systems Engineering. A related advanced degree is preferred but not required.
