Are you ready to join a team of passionate multi-skilled engineers and technicians in the development of complex electronics for the Aerospace Industry?

We are looking for a highly skilled self-motivated Lead Electronics Technician to help support the engineering team during the development, qualification and light run manufacturing. This position requires a high level understanding of electronics theory, test and application as well as excellent communication skills and the desire to continuously learn. This position will also support the computer infrastructure of the Electrical Engineering lab including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Engineering SW, peripherals, HW  and test equipment, and support for light IT and Network issues.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, repair and modify complex electronic assemblies

• Support EMI Qualification planning and test

• Supervise other lab personnel and assign and monitor activities.

• Analyze and report lab schedule and cost.

• Assemble experimental circuitry according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, and knowledge of electronic systems and components.

• Create and release test plans for printed circuit assemblies

• Write technical reports and develop charts, graphs, and schematics to describe and illustrate system operating characteristics, malfunctions, and deviations from design specifications, for review and consideration by engineering team

• Participate in design reviews and technical presentation development and delivery.

• Install, update and maintain engineering SW tools on lab PCs

• Assist engineers in troubleshooting PC and test equipment issues

• Expert at the application of electronic theory to configure, model, layout, build, test, troubleshoot, and modify electronic product for engineering development.

Basic Qualifications

• AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience OR 

• In the absence of a AA/AS degree, 10 years of relevant experience is required OR 

• A Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 2 years of relevant experience 

• Excellent written and verbal communication

• Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associates degree in electronics technology or electrical engineering technology

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience as an electronics technician
