    The AP department is seeking an Associate Director to serve as the LTAMDS (Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense) Deputy Radar IPT Lead.  LTAMDS is a recent Raytheon Technologies franchise program that will deliver a next generation radar with 360-degree visibility to defeat advanced threats including hypersonic weapons. 

    This position is hybrid in Tewksbury, MA

    *Must be willing to travel in support of ASM and Program activities both domestic and international

    Responsibilities to Anticipate:

    • Experience in leading a cross functional team including members from Engineering, Operations, Integrated Supply Chain, and Quality through hardware development and production
    • Demonstrated knowledge and experience implementing EVMS and Risk & Opportunity Management
    • Experience in program planning, budgeting, and tracking to cost and schedule
    • The role requires close management of design completion while simultaneously balancing resulting performance with the ability to meet the customers critical schedule requirements
    • Regular review of program status including tracking and review by both Engineering Leadership and Program Leadership
    • Extensive knowledge of hardware engineering capabilities to ensure successful technical execution.  Ability to partner with the chief engineer and technical leads is required
    • Extensive knowledge of transition to production and the ability to lead a design release into production is required
    • The position requires frequent interaction with all levels of Raytheon Management, internal and external customers
    • The position requires frequent interaction with USG customer’s technical and quality leadership, as well as regular customer briefings at management reviews and Technical Interchange meetings
       

    Qualifications You Must Have:

    • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar Engineering discipline
    • 12 years of relevant professional experience
    • Experience leading and participating in design and development activities
    • Experience in leadership positions
    • Experience preparing both technical and cost proposals
    • Knowledge of earned value management and other program management skills
    • Experience presenting challenging technical issues to senior leadership
    • Ability to travel in support of MPT and Program activities both domestic and international
    • An active and in-scope DoD US security clearance

    Qualifications We Value:

    • 10+ years participating in leadership positions
    • Advanced degree in Engineering discipline
    • Raytheon Technologies process improvement ie CORE/ Six Sigma Certification
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; both verbal and written
    • Collaborate in teams or independently, flexible, demonstrates initiative
    • Experience in agile hardware development and managing using SCRUM
