Our preferred Finance or Accounting candidates at Pratt & Whitney will work well across the organization to support the business every day.  Finance is a key support function that monitors, measures, and forecasts the position and results of the business.  

Our Pratt & Whitney accountants:

• Have high ethical standards, do the right thing all the time – even when no one is looking, and are open and honest in their communications and reporting.
• Understand and can apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles to assets, liabilities, and our business results.
• Research the proper accounting of complex topics including revenue recognition, hedging, fair value, business combinations, and foreign exchange.
• Document the results of this complex analysis to communicate and support an accounting position.
• Analyze and explain fluctuations in balance sheet accounts and income statement results.
• Design and document controls to ensure our finance teams perform in a well-controlled environment.
• Test and document tests of internal controls in accordance with the requirements of Sarbanes Oxley.
• Communicate the position and results of operations clearly and in accordance with required financial reporting disclosures.
• Work well under pressure and are able to manage competing priorities in a dynamic and changing environment.
• Value digital technology and are able to learn and operate in world class enterprise resource management systems such as SAP and HFM.

Basic qualifications:

• Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience.
• Must reside in the US.
• US Citizen or US Person required.

Preferred qualifications: 

• Certified Public Accountant eligible, e.g., eligible to sit for the CPA exam
