Collins Aerospace is looking to hire a Manager, Contracts to join our team. This position is for a experienced contracts professional with solid experience in the formation and administration of contracts. Manages complex contracts and assists with the work product of less experienced contracts professionals. Recommends legal strategy in support of business interests. Communicates and influences senior functional leaders regarding matters of significant importance. Improves department processes through the application of deep knowledge and experience in the contracts function.
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for the drafting, generation, interpretation and management of global and highly complex proposals, license agreements, and contract documents, in accordance with internal and external customer schedules and requests, to ensure these documents properly reflect business objectives and policies
Collaborates with the Capture Manager to coordinate input from other organizations during the sales campaign process
Assures analysis and preparation of reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines
Coaches and mentors junior professionals where needed
Performs contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to ensure contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications
Advises the organization on issues concerning contract matters
Assists leadership on training employees to ensure understanding of and adherence to contract law related to the business
Administers multiple small- to large-sized contracts
Advises and represents the organization on legal issues concerning contract matters
Maintains contract records within company tools
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
TS Clearance required
Solid understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS) preferred
