Job Summary:

Raytheon Missiles and Defense Execution Operations has an opening for a Value Stream Leader in the Advanced Electronics Sub-Assembly (AES) Factory. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for the guidance and leadership of a key Value Stream in our AES Factory. This role is critical to the success of the AES factory along with multiple programs running simultaneously. Responsibilities include full leadership and management accountability regarding the performance for all aspects of safety, quality, schedule, and cost performance for the manufacturing and test areas in a multi-shift, dynamic environment. The Value Stream Leader will set the standard and drive operational excellence throughout the organization.

Daily interaction with other functions is essential to maintaining and meeting organizational goals and objectives. These groups include technical support, manufacturing/test/design engineering, maintenance, production control, finance and quality. Achieving/exceeding safety, quality, delivery, cost goals and identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities using CORE and lean methodologies are critical performance criteria for this position.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Direct and prioritize day to day radar test operations.
  • Managing and directing the daily execution of Patriot MEI requirements at the Pelham Test Site to assure safety, security cost, schedules and performance goals are met.
  • Formally identifying, assessing, monitoring and mitigating risk throughout the MEI lifecycle.
  • Providing interface, communication and coordination with internal customers on matters pertaining to existing production activity.
  • Managing Operation-based team projects for development and implementation of specific schedule, cost improvements through project planning, team building, and recurring task management and reporting to leadership through completion.
  • Ensuring correct priorities are being man loaded with our Engineering CBT teammates.
  • Supporting preparation of weekly/monthly Operations program reviews, EAC development, AOP inputs, and Capital Planning.
  • Supporting IPDS Gate reviews as applicable. Contributing to sub-teams as needed and solving problems related to Operations critical path events.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or Engineering or Operations, or related field and eight (8) years of prior relevant experience OR an advanced degree with five (5) years of experience OR in the absence of the degree, twelve (12) years of experience is required.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:

  • Experience in Operations Management or equivalent in an electronics manufacturing environment with a strong background in manufacturing business systems (PRISM, CMES, PDM, etc).
  • Professional experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word) applications.
  • Ability to influence workforce
  • Ability to effectively communicate with Leadership
  • Budget planning and performance tracking/management experience
  • Training and experience with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles with demonstrated project experience
  • Bias for Action, Doing, Speed, Results
  • Strong team building skills necessary to manage a multi-disciplined team.
  • Excellent verbal /written communications and interpersonal skills
  • Metric driven and success oriented
