    This role will be performed Onsite at our Collins Aerospace Location in Simpsonville, SC.

    What You Will Do

    • Works with Customers and Program Managers to assure that new & current parts comply with FAA regulations & AS9100 requirements including review of contracts, drawings & other technical information to support the design, manufacture, quality and compliance of products

    • Collaborates with customer on continuous improvement, SCARs, RMAs, and any other issue that may be part of the relationship with the customer with particular emphasis on scorecard related activities

    • Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains quality control systems and protocols for manufacturing products

    • Ensures that projects and/or process control documentation are compliant with regulations, requirements, objectives and/or contracts

    • Reviews and makes recommendations for Quality Assurance plans, guidelines, policies, and processes to ensure the achievement of Quality targets

    • Establish and maintains relationship with customers and understands their FAA & regulatory requirements

    • Collects and analyzes data for the development of quality strategy and programs to ensure on-going reductions in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and escapes

    • Performs escape management procedures and leads teams to investigate the root cause of customer escapes and non-conformances as well as implement corrective/preventive actions

    • Provides technical guidance and support and maintains a strong working relationship with the Program Management, Engineering, and Operations teams

    • Participates in internal, customer, third-party and regulatory audits

    • Supports review and implementation of engineering change order

    Qualifications You Must Have

    • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience oran Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience

    • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62

    • Customer communication skills and ability to adequately communicate within and outside of the organization

    • Agility with standard software programs including spreadsheets, word processing, data analysis and production planning

    Qualifications We Prefer

    • FAA 14 CFR Part 21 Production Approval Holder (PAH) program management experience working within a PMA (Parts Manufacturer Approval) production facility

    • A well-developed understanding of FAA regulatory requirements, with management and oversight experience of an FAA-approved quality system

    • Experience coordinating directly with the FAA Certificate Management Section (CMS) for PAH certificate and PMA Supplement management activities

    • Practical knowledge working with FAA approved design data and Technical Data Packages (TDP) under Supplemental Type Certificates (STC)

    • Experience coordinating with FAA Design Approval Holders (DAH) on new design conformities and design change activities

    • Current, or prior FAA designee experience as DAR-F or DMIR with function codes for issue of FAA Form 8130-3 and new design conformity determinations

    • Certified AS9100 Lead or Internal Auditor

    • AS9100 Quality Management System experience

    • FAA, 1st, 2nd, 3rd party audit experience

    • RCCA / CAPA experience preferred

    • Six Sigma/Lean deployment and process improvement experience

    • Ability to travel 10% as required

    The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
