    Position Role Type:

    Onsite

    Plans, designs, and executes activities that are directly related to the physical creation of Collins-Goodrich products and the functional operation within Union, WV facility.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Works with Manufacturing Engineers and operations to design and develop manufacturing processes for products produced within Pneumatics product line.
    • Troubleshoots and solves problems with production processes or equipment.
    • May make recommendations concerning the use of new technological equipment and materials.
    • Aids in the responsibility for driving process improvements within operations.
    • Applies basic skills in the execution of existing procedures.
    • Works with operations staff to perform tasks and procedures according to existing and new manufacturing instructions. 
    • Refers difficult/complex concerns to leader/supervisor to support manufacturing process. 

    Minimum Qualifications: 

    • HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
    • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). 
    • Ability to read and translate engineering drawings
    • Ability to work with hand tools and troubleshoot complex equipment.
    • Good written/oral communication
    • Must have ability to work collaboratively with production workforce to aid in process/procedure continuous improvements.
    • Must be able to prioritize work details to meet manufacturing needs.
    • Ability to troubleshoot systems and components within the manufacturing process.
    • Flexibility to work as needed to solve production down time on off shifts and weekends as needed.
    • Ability to travel to achieve training needs.
    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Strong troubleshooting skills.
    • Devise and implement improvements that reduce scrap, waste, and costs.
    • Interest and ability in understanding basic principles of sewing.
    • Understands production urgency and works diligently to resolve production down time causes.
    • Interest in solving complex problems in a fast-paced production environment.
    • Interest in extending knowledge base relative to sewing and/or other Pneumatics processes.
    • Strong understanding of software and computerized production processes highly desired.
    • Experience with Parker-Hauser machinery or Pfaff/Juki sewing machines is considered a plus.
    • Rubber and/or textiles industry experience preferred.
