We are seeking a candidate with a passion for aerospace to join our team within the Hot Section Engineering Module Center. We are located in East Hartford Connecticut and have an opening for Master Technician, Drafting/Product Definition (Design Technician) person.
Collaborate with Mechanical Design Engineer(s) to develop Hot section Jet Engine parts. (Ex/ Combustor/Diffuser, Turbine parts including Airfoils, Turbine Exhaust and Nozzles)
Verify complete accuracy of parametric 3D Siemens Nx models and definition. Definition could be 2D associative drawing definition or Model Based Definition (MBD) as required.
Ensure accurate part interrelationships through tolerance and geometric studies.
Participate on IPT’s as Product Definition delegate.
Prepare/Maintain various product related Teamcenter/NxManager data in support of PW Class I and II Engineering activities.
Act as mentor/coach and provide training to lower-level Product Definition practitioners.
AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 10 years of product definition or drafting experience.
Proficient with https://ASMEY14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Must be a https://U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.
Experience in Turbine Airfoils is a plus.
Strong skills in NX and Team Center tools and processes.
Strong communication and teaming skills.
An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
