Job Summary:

We are seeking a candidate with a passion for aerospace to join our team within the Hot Section Engineering Module Center. We are located in East Hartford Connecticut and have an opening for Master Technician, Drafting/Product Definition (Design Technician) person.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Mechanical Design Engineer(s) to develop Hot section Jet Engine parts. (Ex/ Combustor/Diffuser, Turbine parts including Airfoils, Turbine Exhaust and Nozzles)

  • Verify complete accuracy of parametric 3D Siemens Nx models and definition. Definition could be 2D associative drawing definition or Model Based Definition (MBD) as required.

  • Ensure accurate part interrelationships through tolerance and geometric studies.

  • Participate on IPT’s as Product Definition delegate.

  • Prepare/Maintain various product related Teamcenter/NxManager data in support of PW Class I and II Engineering activities.

  • Act as mentor/coach and provide training to lower-level Product Definition practitioners.

Basic Qualifications:

  • AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 10 years of product definition or drafting experience.

  • Proficient with https://ASMEY14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

  • Must be a https://U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Turbine Airfoils is a plus.

  • Strong skills in NX and Team Center tools and processes.

  • Strong communication and teaming skills.

  • An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
