Raytheon is looking for an experienced Material Program Manager (MPM) for programs within the F/A-18 Product Line within RI&S. A successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership as the material focal for the program, directly accountable for ensuring overall supply chain performance. This individual must be able to exert influence and have an impact on the overall objectives and long-range goals and metrics of the program. The MPM must be a self-starter, capable of developing and achieving organizational and program objectives, and must be able to successfully interface with all levels of internal and supplier management.
The MPM will serve as the lead for material content for assigned program supply chain activities and is the liaison between the Program Manager(s), IPT’s, and the Supply Chain organization. The MPM is also responsible for the development, coordination, and execution of the material program strategy and/or plan, supply chain objectives, and enterprise objectives. This individual will work closely with Engineering, Quality and Operations to create common schedules based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP). Responsibilities span from the front end of the business Supply Chain activities through contract closure.
This role requires material forecasting knowledge and earned value management background. This individual will be responsible for managing sales risks and opportunities and reporting out to leadership and program IPT weekly.
The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to lead efforts, address issues and conflict resolution. The MPM will have the ability to balance between leading and implementing strategy for the program while also executing tactical activities.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Developing and executing supply chain strategies and plans
Creating, managing, and executing material program strategy (MPS) and the material program plan (MPP)
Providing comprehensive Supply Chain support for Gates 0-11 activities and ensuring compliance for the programs and tailoring when applicable
Having overall ownership of the supplier management process including supplier performance, SCM metrics, strategic agreements, and communication of customer flow through requirements
Developing and leading supply chain proposal activities including task descriptions and basis of estimates
Monitoring and proactively addressing performance and financial metrics including those related to cost, schedule, quality, and EVMS.
Developing and tracking budgets, targets, initiating and maintaining accurate sales forecasts, short-range outlooks (SRO), material EACs, sales and operating Plans and Annual Operating Plans (AOP).
Acting as the Control Account Manager (CAM) for material.
Flowing down Supplier Management Best Practices to suppliers which include risk mitigation and subcontract management plans.
Required Skills:
Minimum 6 years directly related work experience in Supply Chain or related work experience
Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Must be able to obtain Secret clearance within one year of start date
U.S. Citizenship status
Desired Skills:
Previous Procurement/Subcontracts experience
Microsoft Project knowledge
Experience with SAP/PRISM and the Supply Chain suite of tools
Technical knowledge of related hardware applications, as well as knowledge of operational and manufacturing processes (assembly, integration, and test)
Experience developing statements of work (SOW) that are complete and conform to program requirements
Experience in Integrated Product Team (IPT)/Cross functional teams, including leading an IPT team
Experience collaborating with Subcontract Administrators and business leadership
Experience with government regulations (i.e., FAR/DFAR, ITAR/EAR, TINA, etc.)
Be a proven problem solver
Fluency in Raytheon systems, process, and procedure
Requires advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project
management. Practical to substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.
Typically requires:
A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
