We have an opportunity for a Laboratory Technician to be based in Columbus, GA.
This is a 1st shift opportunity. Mon-Fri 07-330 hrs
The Laboratory Technician's key responsibilities are to perform inspection testing / review certs for raw materials and consumables, perform titrations, mix chemicals, and standardize chemical solutions in a laboratory setting. In addition, the Lab Technician will be responsible for ordering chemicals and/or supplies to support production.
Participate on cross functional team projects to improve the overall organization and to develop a career path and leadership, with coaching and assistance by the Material Control Laboratory Manager. Must be able to read and correctly interpret prints, specifications, procedures, policies, etc.
Must be willing to work any shift, including an alternate work week. Overtime may be required.
Be able to work in a team environment and handle multi-tasking duties.
Required to successfully pass annual vision screening.
Knowledge of SAP, Solumina, MRP and Ariba will be a necessity.
2 years' experience in manufacturing or laboratory environment
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
5 years' experience in manufacturing or laboratory environment.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
