Mechanical Project Test Engineer (Onsite)

Windsor Locks is looking for an Mechanical Project Test Engineer to join our growing organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and schedule testing with outside test suppliers. Maintain test schedules and interface with program office to assure program schedules are met

• Coordinate with internal manpower to prepare and ship item for testing and coordinate any support equipment required

• Interface with customers regarding the status of outside testing

• Design, implement, and maintain test processes for Space Systems hardware using lean philosophies and techniques

• Take a leadership role in driving action in the development, planning & implementation of timely and effective corrective actions for problems during product manufacturing and testing

• Duties include the interpretation/analysis of customer test requirements and subsequent cost estimates to support an appropriate test program

• Responsibilities also include daily interface with Program, Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering organizations to ensure that customer committed hardware and data deliveries are consistently met

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR

• Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience OR

• In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required

• Must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal are required. Ability to proficiently operate common Microsoft Office software products is required. Experience with a MRP (Manufacturing Resource Planning) system is desirable

• Education / Certifications: Bachelors of Science in Engineering or Technology, MBA or an advanced Engineering degree is desired
