    The Pratt & Whitney Aftermarket Systems Engineering team is a worldwide organization of over 30 people focused on the needs of our commercial airline customers and driving profitability.  Our team is built on three pillars of Engine Health Monitoring (EHM), Analytics, and Integration.  The EHM team utilizes on-wing collected data along with our engineering knowledge and analysis techniques to make maintenance recommendations directly to airlines and prevent service disruption events.  The Aftermarket Analytics team uses systems engineering understanding to optimize the aftermarket business through data science techniques.  Lastly our Integration leads bridge the aftermarket and engineering organizations to execute program specific goals alongside the various chief engineers.

    The Engine Design & Systems Integration (EDSI) organization is looking for an Associate Director who will lead the Aftermarket Systems Engineering team going forward while reporting directly to the executive director of EDSI commercial engines. 

    Key Responsibilities:

    • EHM TEAM
    • Managing the worldwide team in US, Puerto Rico, and Singapore
    • Rapid development of analytics by partnering with the DPHM organization and the SIPT
    • The development of alerting procedures and customer engagement protocols for potentially imminent service disruption issues
    • Directly interfacing with airline customers and airframers regarding EHM and a digitally enabled aftermarket
    • ANALYTICS
    • Development of a remaining useful life digital twin & applications to enable responsible and cost effective fleet management
    • Tools and analysis that allow for workscope optimization inclusive of the contractual requirements and data collected both on & off-wing
    • Leading the engineering organization to align on procedures for inputs to the Interval Cost Estimator (ICE) model
    • Integration with DT, CE aftermarket, and finance teams in the development of the NextGen ICE model utilized for sales campaigns, EAC’s, and trade studies relative to business impacts
    • Influencing the creation and execution of analytical roadmaps related to the Model Based Digital Thread (MBDT)
    • Coordinate engineering through the aftermarket EDSIT to execute on program specific goals that affect the business 
    • Achieving alignment with other engineering organizations, the chief engineers, aftermarket and the program office
    • Talent acquisition / interviews
    • Ensuring proficiency development and health across the organization
    • Contributions to Engine Works through standard work / knowledge packs / and Communities of Practice
    • Acting in accordance with Leadership Operating Model
    • Execution of milestones and continuous improvement initiatives through CORE principles

    Basic Qualifications:

    • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience
    • Experience leading large teams

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
    • The candidate should have an systems understanding and/or eagerness to learn engine systems disciplines including performance/operability/controls/mech systems/ & rotor dynamics
    • Line Maintenance Operations
    • Familiarity with data science
    • Knowledge of our aftermarket organization
    • Demonstrated leadership and self-direction.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
