    Job Summary:

    The Digital, RF and Power Products (DRP) Team, Surface Based Effector Production (SBEP) Department is responsible to support the production and development of electrical subsystems used in our Land and Naval based programs.

    To support these programs, The DRP, SBEP is searching for an Electrical Subsystems Lead with experience as Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL). The role of the Electrical Subsystems Lead is to manage a cross-functional and cross-discipline team of engineers through product development and/or product support. The Electrical Subsystem Lead provides both technical guidance and supervision in meeting project commitment.

    They also manage suppliers and may lead efforts in proposal development.  Responsibilities will include mentoring less experienced engineers and leading the team to give the program data-based evidence to make the proper decisions for the direction of the program.  This position is as a lead for a production program

    Responsibilities to Anticipate:

    • Ability to lead a team of 10+ engineers while supporting multiple programs
    • Assignments may include guiding a multi-disciplined team through several phases of hardware systems lifecycle such as the following:
      • developing and documenting subsystem requirements and test plans
      • peer reviews as a subject matter expert
      • presentations to peers, management, and government customers
      • root-cause failure investigations
    • Missile and Defense has a strong culture of mentoring; it is expected that employees will be both mentors and mentees
    • Working climate may include the following: 
      • working independently with little supervision
      • Develop a network and know when to use it for assistance
      • Assignments may require some travel, including foreign travel
    • Collaboration with both Functional and Program higher level management.
    • Collaboration with Customer and Suppliers.
    • Effective written and oral communication skills and the ability to function in a team environment

    Qualifications You Must Have:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, Math or related STEM degree
    • Minimum of 10 years of prior relevant engineering experience with progressing leadership roles
    • 3 years of IPT Leadership or program management experience
    • Current or ability to obtain PM Level 6 Certification
    • Current or ability to obtain EVMS Certification
    • Experience with program management tools such as IMS development
    • Experience managing cost and schedule with Earned Value Management methodologies
    • Experience leading large teams across matrixed organizations
    • Current or prior experience with missile systems development and production
    • Experience in analysis, test, measurement or integration of electrical products or systems
    • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

    Qualifications We Value:

    • Ability to grasp technical aspects of Land Warfare projectile and missile products and interact with customer subject matter experts
    • Experience serving as a Responsible Engineering Authority (REA), Control Account Manager (CAM), and/or Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL)
    • Failure investigation, root cause identification, and corrective action implementation
    • Development of technical proposals, engineering project estimates, and/or white papers
    • Requirements verification test planning and execution
    • Experience creating and presenting professional level design documentation to company leadership and program customers
    • Experience with manpower planning and staffing forecasts
    • Technical writing and/or formal presentation experience
    • Master’s degree in STEM or MBA
