Job Summary:

The Digital, RF and Power Products Team is seeking a Senior Principal Electrical Engineer – Program Area Lead with a strong electronics design and analysis background, failure investigation experience and networking skills to join our team. We are looking for candidates willing to collaborate, innovate, and team with program technical leadership to support their design efforts. 

Our programs utilize today’s cutting-edge technology to design electronics circuits that cover a wide range of disciplines including high-speed digital electronics, configurable logic, power systems and RF seeker electronics. The entire design cycle is supported from proposal through transition to production. Our systems are subject to environments ranging from the frigid, sub-zero vacuum of space to the blistering heat of the desert floor, to the high pressures of the ocean depths.

Responsibilities to Anticipate**:**

• Working with multiple programs to provide oversight of the entire design process including review of analyses, simulation, and test results for electronic modules and/or CCAs for Missile applications

• Lead failure investigations and troubleshooting capability

• Working in a process-driven environment, following procedures and practices established in all aspects of circuit card design, test and integration

• Work closely with engineers at all levels from program leadership to designers new to the company

Qualifications You Must Have**:**

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior engineering experience OR an Advanced STEM degree and 7 years of prior engineering experience

• Minimum 10 years of experience to include one or more of the following areas:

  • Development and design of electronic circuit designs, multi-assembly system/unit design

  • Taking a design concept from the block diagram or requirements level to development of a complete hardware design, and verification via test and integration

  • PCB design process and expertise in tools used to design (schematic capture), analyze and simulate designs prior to hardware execution

• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Value**:**

• Engineering background experience in digital circuit design

• Experience with the development and design of processor designs

• Experience using Mentor Graphics Design Creation (Siemens EDA) tools: DxDesigner, xDX Designer VX, Expedition, and PCB electronic circuit design software: HyperLynx signal integrity, power integrity, and analog simulation, Xpedition Enterprise (xPCB)

• Experience with embedded test techniques, design for test, design margin analysis and design for production

• Experience in managing schedule and resources to meet assigned milestones

• Capable of functioning in multi-disciplined design teams across multiple projects

• Strong advocate for process improvement

• Team and project leadership skills

• Experience leading a program transition from development to production

• Demonstrated ability to manage technical and schedule risks and to identify cost reduction opportunities

• Knowledgeable in cost / schedule development and management
