Job Summary: 

Do you aspire to build the future of physically accurate virtual realities? Do you want to enable the future of advanced defense products and drive modern software acceleration techniques in the DoD industry? As an EO or RF Signal and Sensor Modeling Engineer, you will work on a close-knit team to create advanced, physics-based modeling solutions in the DoD Space. You will develop key technologies in the EO, IR or RF domain to help engineers understand the most complex aspects of energy transport or radar signal generation, propagation, & scattering, enabling the design and test of tomorrow’s artificial intelligence algorithms and hardware solutions. You will deploy cutting-edge technologies, leveraging your software development skills and work with your Signal and Sensor Modeling peers.  

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

• You will champion novel solutions for advanced modeling techniques.

• You will develop new C++ models in an extensible and maintainable fashion.

• You will deploy EO or RF phenomenology and advanced physics principles in a software implementation.

• You will enable our customer’s success through adoption and utilization of modeling solutions.

• You will work efficiently inside an established software product, across programming languages, and build environments.

• You will research and develop novel EO or RF modeling solutions.

• You will coordinate with multiple development teams to prioritize and solve complex software and physics problems.

• You will mentor and share EO or RF expertise with your team.

Qualifications You Must Have: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).

• Experience with C/C++.

• Experience with object-oriented software or OOP.

• Experience with MATLAB or Python.

• Experience with UNIX/Linux command line.

• Experience with Imaging EO or RF hardware, energy transport or radar physics, or signal processing or discrimination algorithms.

• This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).

• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Value:

• Course work or experience in the following fields:  

  • Signal & image processing, digital communications, estimation theory.

• Experience with OpenGL, CUDA, or other GPU accelerated languages/architectures.

• Experience with Real-time Programming.

• Experience with AI/ML and training techniques.

• Experience with other Scene Generation / Sensor Modeling technologies.

• Experience with software change management tools and processes.

• Experience applying software optimization and debugging techniques.

• ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. 3.0 cumulative GPA desired.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with coworkers from diverse communities and cultures.

• Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution styles.
