In anticipation of an upcoming contract award, RI&S is posting this opportunity

Raytheon Technologies is seeking an Operations Analyst to support a customer’s operational requirements in a challenging, fast-paced environment located in Northern Virginia.

Successful candidates will work in a team environment and will be capable of operating independently with minimal supervision. Candidates will be expected to effectively interact with customer personnel at all levels within the customer organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• The Operations Analyst will be supporting mission accomplishment by Performing advanced network threat hunting to detect malicious or suspicious behavior on networks and investigating electronic data and digital devices in a forensically sound manner with the aim of identifying, preserving, recovering, analyzing and presenting facts about the digital information.  Responsibilities include obtaining, accessing, and analyzing data from hard drives, emails, smartphones, and tablets.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with major in Computer Science/Engineering, Science, or related field and Five (5) years of experience working in a relevant field, of which 1-4 years of IC experience.

• An in-depth understanding of computer forensic and cyber security principles including intrusion response and network monitoring

• Strong investigative skills and knowledge in performing analysis on large scale data sets to find elements of interest, including computing and mobile devices, network activity, and individuals.

• Demonstrated experience of internet applications and protocols.

• Demonstrated experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems

• Knowledge of and experience in the fundamentals of all-source intelligence analysis

• Being a flexible, team player who is open to continuous learning about a wide-range of topics

• Demonstrated ability to document processes

• Must be able to work collaboratively with other team members, technical/functional staff, and customers across multiple offices and department

• Strong oral and written Communication skills

Desired skills:

• Master’s Degree in relevant field (engineering, computer sciences, or computer forensics)

• Knowledge of mobile technologies and cellular networks (cellular, wi-fi, Bluetooth, etc)

• Ability to create automated visuals in open source (Gephi, GraphViz, NodeXL, Cytoscape)

• Experience creating and automating technical solutions to manipulate large datasets

• Experience with SQL, Hadoop, or other DBMS

• Experience in using scripting language, such as Python

• Knowledge of Information Assurance, Risk Assessment, and Security practices

Education:

Bachelor of Science Degree or higher with major in Computer Science/Engineering, Science, or related field with Five (5) years of experience
