    Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

    Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

    The F135 MRO&U Depot Operations Manager in partnership with Fleet Readiness Center East (FRCE), will oversee execution of disassembly, assembly, and delivery of F135 3-Bearing Swivel Module (3BSM) at the Naval Air Station in Cherry Point, North Carolina. 

    You will work closely with FRCE to develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure production priorities are established and commitments are met.

    You will monitor operations aspects of productivity and process flow to meet F135 Program On-Time Delivery (OTD) and Turnaround-Time (TAT) requirements while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

    This role collaborates with an on-site matrixed team of experienced professionals to assist in maintaining quality and consistency of service by documenting and identifying trends, working directly with the FRCE to implement corrective action and establish appropriate improvement plans.

    You will also assist FRCE in the development of forecasts and FDC activation requirements of the MRO&U.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Oversee Depot maintenance execution of 3BSM at the Cherry Point F135 Depot
    • Key subject matter expert of the Operations discipline within a gated MR&O environment
    • Ensure training and support tasks are being completed by the FRCE in all aspects of MRO&U operations
    • Responsible for operational activities in execution of the program requirements
    • Collaborates with the FRCE and PW support functions in scheduling and sequencing of operations processes to ensure optimal use of resources
    • Collaborate with FRCE to ensure production priorities are communicated to FRCE and PW onsite personnel
    • Facilitate FRCE training and execution of Depot capability expansion and workscope increases
    • Provide oversight/monitoring of FRCE production status. Participate in production status calls, determine functional support required and coordinate resolutions when process/system fails to meet program requirements
    • Track and monitor work-stops and Andons requiring PW closure
    • Routinely present status of work-in-process and performance of Depot operations (Working Groups, presentations to executives and customers)
    • Proactively identify process improvement opportunities utilizing the CORE tools and principals to enhance quality, improve turnaround times and reduce risks
    • May include activities that cannot be attributed to a defined Operations discipline
    • Must be willing to flex schedule as needed to support business demands while on assignment to include working weekends and holidays.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or a technical field required.

    • A minimum of 10+ years of Operations experience in MRO&U Depot or back shop maintenance

    • US Citizenship is required due to government contracts

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Familiarity with engine MRO Depot level maintenance
    • Lean manufacturing experience
    • Ability to effectively collaborate with and influence multiple functional groups to reach a common objective
    • Demonstrated experience in understanding and exceeding customer expectations in an MRO operations or production environment
    • Excellent communication skills: candidate must be comfortable providing briefings at all levels of management
    • Ability to influence decisions downstream and upstream
