Position summary
Raytheon Intelligence and Space (RIS) is seeking a Part-Time Software Engineer for our satellite ground system programs.
In this role, you will be joining a development team where our software engineers and architects are developing and maintaining next-generation ground station software. Our complex domain requires creative solutions to meet evolving customer needs.

This position is eligible for a sign on bonus of up to $15K for a person with a TS/SCI clearance that can be verified and hired here at Raytheon Intelligence & Space.
Required Skills:
- Relevant experience in object-oriented software development using Java and C++
- Experienced with Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOA&D)
- Experience with Agile practices
- Experience working in a Linux environment
- Must be a U.S. citizen with a current/active U.S. Government Secret clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance
Education/Experience Requirements:
- 8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelors degree (STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics, typically); OR
- 6 years of relevant experience with a Masters degree (STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics, typically)
Desired Skills:
- Experience with DevOps and Cloud development
- Experience with UML design modeling in modeling tools such as Rational Rose, RSA, or Rhapsody
- Experience with application development involving RDBMS (such as Oracle, MySQL, etc.)
- Knowledge of secure coding practices
- Experience integrating software modules, components, and subsystems
- Experience with some area of satellite ground system software such as mission management, planning and scheduling, command and telemetry, satellite operations, or flight dynamics models
“In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $89,000 to $189,000; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.”
