This PC Engineer position is within the Simulation Solutions & Services (SS&S) business area with Collins Aerospace. SS&S develops and builds simulators and training systems for both military and commercial customers. Devices range in complexity from desktop trainers to high-fidelity weapon systems and full-flight training systems. The PC engineer position opening is for the program engineering group that supports and executes visual system programs and products. These Visual Systems, features high fidelity image generators, displays and databases products and are designed and manufactured for our military and commercial customers. This position is located in Salt Lake City, Utah. A comprehensive relocation package is available for qualified candidates.
This Computer (PC) Engineer will perform many technical and collaborative tasks to support Programs, Products and Operations execution as needed. Their engineering duties and responsibilities will be to develop, fix and update visual systems components. They must have the ability to troubleshoot problems, integrating hardware and software updates, handle technical support queries and bug fixes, research current and new technologies and programming solutions.

Work alongside our team to assist in performing PC computer tasks including design, requirements capture, development, documentation, integration and testing of systems/components/products for visual systems.
Demonstrate thorough communication with the team
Learn from and support experienced engineers with various tasks including but not limited to (integration of a system, troubleshooting, running and facilitating testing, producing reports and updating documentation)
Contribute to a culture of trust, respect, integrity, excellence and innovation.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of prior relevant experience OR
In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required
Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder
Possess communication, documentation and collaboration/teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in PC computer design including requirements capture/analysis, system design, systems integration/test, including hardware/software integration
Experience working within software development teams in an Agile environment using Kanban or Scrum methodologies
Experience with cybersecurity and secure coding for computer engineering projects
Experience with networking knowledge
Experience and background with reliability and MTBF data processing
Experience researching current and new technologies and programming solutions
Experience with simulators and training systems for military and/or commercial entities
