Job Summary:
The Digital, RF and Power Products Team is responsible for the guidance, navigation, signal processing, target detection and tracking system functions of the electrical subsystems used in our products. Job tasks of these roles vary but include activities such as troubleshooting electronics in a lab or production environment, performing system and circuit level analysis, supporting failure investigations, maintaining, and creating documentation, and interacting with multi-discipline groups including suppliers. The position requires frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, concepts, techniques, and department standard processes.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Your experience as a Power Engineer may include any of the following:
Designing circuits
Testing electronic hardware
Operating and automating test equipment in a lab environment
Analyzing and simulating electronic designs
Modeling and simulation using PSPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar computer-based tools
Working with power conversion circuitry including linear regulators and/or switching converters; working with buck, boost, and buck-boost converters
Selecting parts (and alternate parts) for electronic designs
Guiding drafters though the physical design of printed circuit boards
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) major.
Experience with Engineering simulation tools including any one of the following Spice, PSpice, LTspice, Matlab, Mathcad, Simulink, or any other circuit simulation tools.
This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Value:
Supportive lab experience specific to power electronics and/or analog circuits and/or motor controls electronics.
Experience with one or more of the following areas: circuit design, circuit analysis, power electronics, power conversion, power distribution, power generation, electromagnetics, linear controls, analog design, or control theory.
Experience with printed circuit or printed wiring boards
ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. 3.0 cumulative GPA desired.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with coworkers from diverse communities and cultures.
Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution styles.
