    Job Summary:

    Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD) has an exciting opportunity for a Principle Specialist.

    You will have an opportunity to support the development of proposals, as well as management and administration of contracts. You will interface with the customer on contracting matters and ensure that proposed and negotiated terms and conditions comply with company policies, as well as advise program management of contractual rights and obligations and means to mitigate contractual/program risks.

    You will be a highly motivated, well-organized individual who enjoys working on collaborative, cross-functional teams. Your responsibilities will include developing creative approaches to solving problems while employing sound change management and communication skills. Minimal travel may be required.

    Responsibilities to Anticipate:

    • Provide sound contract management to meet customer obligations, achieve company objectives, and comply with company policies
    • Professionally represent RMD on contractual transactions and work closely with customers to develop business relationships
    • Act as a lead for the analysis of Requests for Proposal (RFP), development of proposals, proposal reviews and coordination, negotiation, contractual agreements, contract execution, as well as general contract administration
    • Effectively manage contractual scope and terms and conditions to ensure work is performed to the overall contract scope
    • Identify, mitigate, and drive the resolution of contractual issues as they may arise
    • Provide guidance regarding contractual and business issues, advising management of contractual rights and obligations as well as possible mitigation of contractual/program risks.

    Qualifications You Must Have:

    • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR In absence of a degree, 8 years of relevant experience is required
    • Prior experience with US Government contracts
    • "Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date"."U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance."

    • Active Top Secret security clearance a plus
    • Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
    • Requires advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project management. Practical to substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.
