JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary of Role:

We are seeking a highly-motivated Accounting Specialist to be part of the ESC&C team within the Raytheon Technologies’ Enterprise Service organization in Farmington, CT.  This person will perform the following primary responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Take macro approach in determining root causes impacting unreconciled issues.  Apply knowledge to lead BU participants in process improvements in the area of intercompany to solve root cause issues.  Conduct value stream mapping events.
• Perform dispute resolution and facilitate collaboration within and across UTC Business Units.
• Manage high volumes of data utilizing data analytics to identify sub data set.  Analyze transactions to set precise action plan for unreconciled issues.  Determine stakeholders, lead action plan to conclusion, and influence others to act by holding accountable.
• Present intercompany findings and solutions to multiple levels of management across UTC’s various business units.
• Research intercompany out of balances to determine root cause.  Lead business operations to solution and provide support.
• Collaborate daily with another CAS specialist to arrive at innovative solutions to unique problems.
• Prepare journal entries for month end closing process.
• Apply U.S. GAAP knowledge to understanding Operational process impact to Financial Statements.
• Contribute to development of CAS by bringing innovative solutions within the knowledge base and work of the department.

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of or experience with current finance and accounting systems and month end close procedures
• Proven verbal and written communication skills, good business acumen and ability to brief levels of management
• Strong proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and database reporting skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, planning and problem-solving skills
• Ability to maintain a service-oriented demeanor with professionalism in sensitive and challenging situations
• Strong ad hoc reporting skills with the ability to synthesize data and present in an actionable format

Required Education and Experience

• This position typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field and 5 years of relevant experience or a master’s degree and 3

Desired Skills:

• CPA a plus
• Operational Finance experience preferred
• Knowledge and reporting experience with SAP and HFM

Location: Hybrid Primary office located in Farmington, CT

• Working from home 60% to 100% of the time is encouraged and will be discussed further during the interview/ hiring process

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite.  Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed. 

TO BE CONSIDERERD FOR REMOTE ROLES CANDIDATES MUST BE LOCATED IN THE CONUS

The salary range for this role is 75,000 USD - 161,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
