Raytheon is supporting a https://U.S. Government customer to provide support for onsite incident response to civilian Government agencies and critical asset owners who experience cyber-attacks, providing immediate investigation and resolution. Contract personnel perform investigations to characterize of the severity of breaches, develop mitigation plans, and assist with the restoration of services. Raytheon Technologies Intelligence & Space (RIS) is seeking a Systems Engineer (Elastic) to support this critical customer mission.
Responsibilities:
Designs, implements, and configures Kibana visualizations
Designs and configures Elasticsearch instance(s)
Designs Elasticsearch indices to efficiently store data currently optimizing both performance and the need for growth
Collaborate and work with a diverse group of engineers in developing solutions for ingesting heterogeneous datasets in large volumes
Deploys, configures, tests and troubleshoots Elastic clusters and environments
Maintains and upgrades Elastic clusters and environments
Required Skills:
https://U.S. Citizenship
Must have an active Secret clearance; TS/SCI is preferred
Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability
2+ years of directly relevant experience
8+ years of overall engineering experience
Demonstrated proficiency with Elastic Stack components, especially Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana
Hands on experience with Elastic Stack Version https://5.0
Must be able to work collaboratively across physical locations
Desired Skills:
Experience with one or more of the following: Grok, Nodejs, Java, Ruby, and Go
Proficient with configuration of Beats including FileBeats, MetricBeats
Familiarity with Elasticsearch https://6.8.x – https://7.9.x a plus
Familiarity with Elastic ECE
Experience working in an agile environment
Working Knowledge of both Windows and Linux operating systems
Required Education:
BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering or related degree. Two years of related work experience may be substituted for each year of degree level education.

Requires advanced to expert knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
May have broad knowledge of project management. Requires substantial knowledge of Raytheon projects, programs or
systems in order to provide enhancements within job area. Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years
prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a
minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

The salary range for this role is 94,000 USD - 196,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
