Principal, Advanced RF Systems Engineer - Active SECRET Required - El Segundo, CA

The Secure Sensor Solutions (S3) Strategic Business Unit at Raytheon Intelligence & Space supports the warfighter with innovative, secure integrated sensor solutions.  These include advanced fire control radars, Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radars, airborne early warning systems, GPS and navigation systems, and embedded secure systems. 

The Advanced Radio Frequency Department within the Systems Engineering Organization supports the development of new capabilities for existing radar systems as well as development of Next-Generation Radar Systems for the US Government.  This department provides the full range of systems design, analysis, integration, verification, and validation activities in support of RIS radar programs.

You're Highly Skilled In: 

•8+ years Systems Engineering experience

•Development of mathematical algorithms for mode/sensor implementation

•Modeling and simulation of sensor physics and phenomenology to predict performance

•Data analysis of hardware under test or in operations

•Design and development of RF waveforms for imaging, target search, track, and identification

•Knowledge and experience of basic RF operations: Filtering, Pulse Compression, Calibration, and/or Antenna Array processing

•Knowledge of RF signal processing techniques, experience developing advanced mathematical algorithms, analytic techniques, and computer simulations

•Proficient in MATLAB, C++, Python, and/or related programming languages

•Experience parsing, reducing, and transferring radar flight test and integration data in a classified environment

You're a Great Match With: 

•Active DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance and/or a SSBI/Special Access clearance

Strong mathematical problem-solving ability and data analysis experience

•Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Math, Science or related STEM discipline.

Strong written and oral communication skills

•Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize actions

•Creating technical presentations for both internal and external customers
