Principal Engineer, Radar Systems Engineer

The Secured Sensor Solutions Mission Area within the Systems Engineering Center is seeking committed engineering leaders who are passionate about creating innovative and cost-effective solutions for the warfighter. This position is for a Systems Engineer that will support the integration, testing, troubleshooting, verification, and validation activities within the F-15 Department.                                                 

The engineer will support system-level integration and testing, including performance, functional, interface, environmental, and qualification testing.  They will also develop/execute test plans, procedures, and scripts as well as utilize/configure Special Test Equipment (STE) and radar hardware to verify program requirements. The successful engineer will  develop a strong foundation in Systems Engineering principles and will need to learn radar modes and functions.

Required Skills:

• 8+ years related experience in one or more of the following technical domains: airborne radars, integration and test, or verification
• Experience working with test equipment (signal generator, spectrum analyzer, attenuators, etc.) and/or simulators
• U.S. Citizenship status is required
• Active DoD Secret Clearance on Day 1 of employment

Desired Skills:

• Understanding of Systems Engineering Product Development Cycle
• Work or academic experience in radar design, development, integration and test
• Strong communication and leadership skills including effective written, verbal, and listening skills
• Work experience interacting with multidisciplinary teams of system design professionals including electrical, mechanical, software and logistics engineers
• Able to effectively perform multiple tasks and prioritize actions
• Ability to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) clearances

Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related STEM field and minimum 6 years experience

Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
