    Raytheon Technologies (RTX) is seeking Infrastructure Engineers who would be supporting the program platform’s environment operation and design; This includes Network administration, operating systems, Systems Security, and system configuration of private cloud environment using tools such as VMware or Amazon Web Services.

    Ideal candidates will also be responsible to support the hardware infrastructure; including networks, and system security posture overall; consisting of several complex on premises compute environments that form the backbone for the operational deployment of a critical, strategic national asset; communicate any risks or issues involving system performance, availability, or security.

    In addition, these Infrastructure Engineers will be process oriented such that they work with the team on fixes while ensuring that any changes follow the project’s change management processes. These positions may require some on call support and overtime based on program operational needs.

    Clearance requirements: An active and in-scope Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information with CI Poly (TS/SCI CI Poly) U.S. security clearance

    Specialized Skills required for this position:

    • System Configuration and Deployment
    • System Networking
    • Background in COTS product installations
    • Hands on experience with Linux and/or Windows System Administration
    • Systems Security

    Required Skills:

    Experience with Agile Development Methodologies

    Experience in the daily system operations and maintenance and use of administration tools

    Proficiency in network designs and security postures

    Proficient working knowledge and practical hands-on application and administration of networks, storage, and virtualization (VMware)

    Experience in SAN / NAS structures

    Understanding of Change Management processes and Version Control

    Process oriented

    Current existing Security Plus (CE) Certification or; Able to obtain a Security Plus (CE) certification within 90 days of start

    Experience with Implementing DISA STIGs

    Desired Skills:

    Scripting in Bash, Python, Perl, Ruby or others

    Command Line experience

    Experienced in Java

    Experience with Jenkins

    System live Operations experience

    Experience in DevOps/DevSecOps system development

    Experience in implementing private cloud environments

    Experience with automation tools such as Chef (preferred), Puppet, Ansible, SaltStack

    Experience with Containerization (Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher)

    Education:

    Typically requires a BA/BS degree and 5 years’ experience; Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with emphasis in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology preferred

    Requires advanced to expert knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.

    May have broad knowledge of project management. Requires substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or

    systems in order to provide enhancements within job area. Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years

    prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience

    Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a

    minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
