Our RI&S Advanced Electro-Optics (AEO) Engineering Team has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Model Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to join our AEO department within the Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance Systems (ISRS) product line. This role will be supporting the Table Rock Program and is an opportunity to leverage your experience and knowledge of MBSE and associated tools such as Cameo, MagicDraw and Doors Next Gen. You will work closely with the MBSE subject matter expert to develop Digital Engineering practices within AEO programs, including: regular interaction across EO/IR design engineering to facilitate adoption of digital engineering tools, knowledge, and growth; provide training and guidance to transition development engineering teams.  You will work with limited supervision and take ownership of projects and processes.

Required Skills:

Minimum 8 years of related systems engineering experience, including experience with Model-Based Engineering/MBSE - ideally with EO/IR systems.

Experience with MBSE engineering tools such as Doors Next Gen, MagicDraw, SysML - to include requirements generation and flowdown in a connected framework - and with special focus on strong Cameo knowledge and abilities.

Experience with developing systems architecture, Integration and Test, IV&V activities, requirements development and management.

Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycles and standard methodologies.

Requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written, verbal, and presentation) and ability to effectively communicate across all engineering disciplines and with non-technical stake holders. 

Requires an Active and in-scope DoD Secret U.S. security clearance (investigation completed within past 5 years).

Desired Skills:

Experience with EO and Electro-mechanical design

Experience writing software or scripts in multiple languages such as Python, Bash, C++, Java, VBA or Powershell

Agile/Scrum program experience

Some experience with the technical review and approval of proposals and Gates to ensure technical and execution feasibility

Required Education:  Typically requires a B.S. Degree in a related STEM discipline such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Math, Optics or Systems Engineering or related technical field.  A related advanced degree is preferred but not required.
